It is normal for one side to sound a little different than the other. We used a black paint for the top cover for durability and it offers a nice contrast to the silver front. Looks great. We work very hard to bring these units up to a quality that could surpass even its factory brand new original sound quality. However, this is not a new deck. Its still an analog technology, it still suffers from unwanted noise, it still eats a tape from time to time. These are flaws of the format and not necessarily an indication of a faulty cassette deck. We test our cassette decks for several hours using a combination of very old, worn tapes, new old stock tapes, pre-recorded original tapes, and custom made tapes from our own new tape stock. Only when a deck can make it through a test cycle without any major issues, and without eating a tape, do we post them for sale. Despite all this, it will still eat a tape from time to time. We DO NOT guarantee your tapes will work and do not offer any return options due to specific tape problems. Buy at your own risk.

This cassette player was tested, and it has a strange problem and plays tapes beautifully but it only plays in one channel. This testing was done in both the analog RCA jacks and the TRS headphone jack on the front. The VU meter also shows movement in only one channel. Rare pretty silver face, but definitely needs some work. Although it did play in only one channel, I don’t know the age of the belts. All sales are final Ships Same Day

Estate sale find, matching units. Both power on, but a lot of the functions are untested. Great physical condition, signs of light use as expected. Vintage electronics and hard to find now.
