Here we have 1x Type 6CL6 Vacuum Tube. Hickok Tested / NOS / Near NOS Testing (S) We have many in stock of various makes. All have been tested on a Calibrated Hickok 800a Vacuum Tube tester. They all test near to or NOS in testing. Some are new old stock in the box, some are used. When you buy one I will just pull one from the box that comes first to hand. As far as the printing goes they are in various states from excellent to can hardly read some. The picture is a stock photo. All tubes purchased have loads of life left in them. Low and weak tubes are unceremoniously thrown in the nearest trash can, unless they are collectors Items. When using the word “Matched” it means in test results rather than in cosmetic looks. Whilst I endeavor to put tubes together from the same year and look the same, this is not always the case. I may have the same tube but from differing years matched up in test results, which means they may cosmetically or internally look a little different... The numbers/letters in parentheses are Equivalents put in to help people to find the correct tube. If it does not say MATCHED then please do not consider them to be such. If you need to know the test results that I get then please just ask. I do not publish test results in the listing as what I get, and what someone else might get can be different. I use a TV7/U military spec Tester which is calibrated. I have 4 of these machines and all display a slightly differing value if I test the same tube, as two testers are never the same. So this shows what I get, and what you get may be slightly different. I also sometimes use a Hickok 752 for testing If I state any values they are for a guide only. All tubes have passed the Gas and short tests. Rectifiers and Diode tubes do not have Transconductance values. Please have a look at the pictures for the cosmetic condition. Please realize when buying antique, vintage or used equipment that they cannot be in an absolute mint or absolute perfect condition, they might need some service, now or later. I take lots of pictures so you can see cosmetics. Use the zoom function and have a good look. It is impossible to describe every scratch, scuff or mark. So take a good look. That is what they are there for. We check and describe the as much of the functionality as we can. If not Fully tested , then items are not tested to the full extent and may have something wrong that I have not discovered. If Fully tested then that is what they are. Fully working. ( May be very light Scratching but not noticeable ) ( or the Case/Cover may be Scuffed a little) EXCELLENT- Very light ware to both the CD / Record or CASE/ Cover. Very GOOD PLUS - USED, Some Light Scratching to either the case or CD/Record. Plays Well. Light scratching to the case/ Cover. Very GOOD - USED Light Scratching to both the Case and CD/Record. Slightly Heavier than Above. GOOD PLUS. Light and medium scratching. CD still plays Well . Cover is in Good condition but has normal wear and tear. GOOD. Heavy use. Medium to heavy scratching. CD/Record still Plays ok. May jump or you will hear scratching on the record., or if this is in grading is in regard to the case/Cover then there may be cracks in the case or the cover is Torn , or has rips along its edges or scuffed quite badly. Fair - The CD? Record plays, sometimes skips. Heavy scratching to the disc. In regards to the case or cover, then the case/ Cover is just holding itself together. Poor. CD/Record does not play. In regards to the case/ Cover then this grading means the case or sleeve is badly torn, scuffed, cracked and is falling apart. generally poor condition. Please remember I am not a professional grader. I am quite harsh on what is good and bad. So some items that I may describe as Fair... may be good or above. It is just my opinion and I would rather paint a bleaker picture of something rather than saying it is better than it is. Return policy If in the main body of my listing I sell something AS IS. This means That I have tested something NOT TO ITS FULL EXTENT. Therefore I cannot be 100% sure of its working ability when you get it. In these cases it is best bidding on it as if it was broken. I am not a flipper, I have been an engineer for 45 years, and this is from my personal collection. I just dont restore vintage electtronics as often as I used to. Every tube has been tested on a Sencore tester that has been/is correctly calibrated. Every sale is tested again before shipment including emission, vibration, and shorts. Any tube marked unbranded mean the name is obscured, or has come off while cleaning. There has never been a manufacturer that doesnt put their name on a tube. No tube will be listed as NOS as there is very few ways to tell if a tube is used or new. With all tube ages, there is no such thing as new. Luck of the draw, you may get a NOS tube. Many listed are in original boxes and are likely unused. All purchases will receive a message with photo of tube being tested before shipment.

HICKOK 600A DYNAMIC MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE TUBE TESTER  I test all tubes that I sell in one way or another, or I will state untested. I have a B&K 747 tube tester. This is a mutual conductance tester. It give a percentage value of gm for the tube under test and checks for shorts and grid emissions. I also use a Tektronix curve tracer for testing triodes. I give a number of evaluations for tubes. One evaluation is a screen shot of the tube with a high voltage applied to the plate. This helps the buyer see the linearity of the tube in question at the highest voltage the tube will see in a real circuit. The Curve tracer steps the triode through 10 gate/grid voltages starting with -10 volts and going to 0 volts. The lines show how the tube conducts throughout that range. At 0 volt the tube is at max conduction and is the top line on the display. It is easy at that point to take where that top line intersects the plate voltage, find the milliamp level and compare it to the datasheet. I give those numbers for you in the Item condition box. To further help the buyer I also include the Design values, for gm and ma readings in the table. This can then be compared to other tube sellers using inferior test methods such as Hickok,  Amplitrex, and other testers. The Tektronix curve tracer gives values within 3% of the actual value. The very best portable testers only can approach 10% accuracy. 5.    Please note: The numbers given for gm are what I see on my tester. I DO NOT guarantee that you will see those numbers on your tester. I only guarantee that these tubes will test good, with no shorts, or gas, on a decent calibrated tester. I dont guarantee or imply anything else. 6. VERY IMPORTANT!!! Vintage tube testers almost always, due to age, have VERY LOW HEATER VOLTAGES!!!  Every tester I have ever bought is below 6 volts when selecting 6.3 volts. They average 5.8 volts. The voltage NEEDS to be 6.3 and 12.6. You can calibrate a vintage tube tester all you want. If the heater voltage is not right, you will NEVER get the right gm value. I have customers complain that their tubes are not the same as what I see on my tester. They say they have a calibrated tube tester. I have 40 tube testers. On all of them I have an outside regulated DC power supply that feeds the tube tester the correct heater voltage. 7. I dont check each and every tube for noise or tone. This is SUBJECTIVE and it is too time consuming. If you dont like the noise level or the tone we offer a hassle free refund policy.  8. TESTING RESULTS SHOW HOW THE TUBE IS PERFORMING  NOW.  TESTING RESULTS DO NOT SHOW HOW OLD A TUBE IS OR HOW MANY HOURS IT HAS BEEN USED. For tubes returned for noise or sound quality of any kind you pay for the shipping we refund the purchase. We refund the price of the item NOT THE SHIPPING COST. If we sent the wrong tube we will of course pay for return shipping. For any tubes that are DOA we require that you send a us a picture of the shipping box to show us the damage. We test EVERY tube sent out and none should be DOA unless broken in shipping. 5.    PLEASE NOTE:  Tube silkscreen (lettering on the tubes) is VERY fragile. It can be wiped off and destroyed VERY easily. If you wipe off the silkscreen while handling the tube you diminish their value by up to 70%. DO NOT handle the tubes or hold them from the cylinder. ALWAYS hold them from the ENDS. If you are returning tubes and they are not in the same condition cosmetically I cannot give you a full refund. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. 6.  UNLESS YOU MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH US BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, YOU MUST PAY FOR ITEMS PURCHASED WITHIN 2 DAYS OR A CASE WILL BE OPENED FOR AN UNPAID ITEM!!! International customers note: 1. Please wait for us to invoice you for the correct amount. If you have purchased more than one item, we must calculate how much the shipping will be.
