The 8200CD's architecture is perhaps best described as a 'DAC + CD', rather than as a CD player in the traditional sense. The DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter) is the cornerstone of their design, which is why Audiolab has chosen the Sabre 32-bit audio DAC from ESS Technology to carry out D-to-A conversion. This DAC solution is rarely used in CD players because it is much more expensive than other audio DACs, and players that incorporate it usually cost many thousands of pounds. However, Audiolab believes that this is the best sounding DAC currently available, so rather than reverting to the cheaper modules found in most CD players, the ESS Sabre is embedded at the heart of the Audiolab 8200CD. Audiolab 8200CD CD player/DAC including remote control. Used machine in reasonable cosmetic condition. Plays fine usually. Sometimes get a ‘reading error’ when loading a disc. This can usually be cured by opening the tray and closing again.

Genuine Audiolab 8200CD remote control, fully working. It can be used with all 8200 components I believe. It is in used but good condition and is great for adjusting things on the player that cannot be accessed any other way. Selling at a reasonable price. Thanks for looking.

Audiolab 8200CD cd player in good condition and working order for sale at a ridiculously cheap price because of a minor issue which dont affect the sound quality but should be mentioned, there are a couple of minor dings on the top of the front panel as you can see in the photos. I have used this purely as a cd player so the analogue RCA outputs work as they should, I have also played it through an outboard DAC I used to have so the co-ax digital output and the optical Toslink output are both ok. However I have never tried any digital input, usb input or the balanced analogue output as I either don’t have the cables or I have no interest in the digital input nonsense and this is why it is being sold so cheaply. There is NO remote control so dont expect one, they are easily available on Ebay. This is a fine player which sounds sublime and is an absolute bargain at this price. It will be couriered by Parcelforce to Mainland UK only. You will receive the 8200CD player and mains lead only, nothing else is included. It will be in its original box. Thanks for looking.
