vintage akai headphones- bought these a while back in a moment of nostalgia as i had a set as a kid- not tried these out probably work ok was bought off ebay as working but selling as spares only as not tested come with original polystyrene packaging and a leaflet no box though case is slightly yellowed muffs seem ok though

AKAI ASE-20 vintage headphones. Circa 1973. In very good condition, just some very small spots of wear at one end of the headpiece, see pics. Some very thin oxidising to metal fittings. The headphones have individually adjustable volumes on each earpiece. The phones work but I can’t vouch for their sound quality against modern phones, I have tinnitus and HF loss so they sound quite ‘boxy’ to me. Still, they’re working and look cool and retro! Also, they’re very comfortable and they completely block out outside noise. Thanks

These headphones came in an auction job lot, so unfortunately I am unable to give you any history on them. The headphones do look to have been cared for and still have their original box, which does show wear and tear from storage. They are untested by me, however if there is some important information you need or further photos I can supply, please ask. Thanks for looking.
