Hi and and welcome to the sale of my Allison LC110 two way speakers which are now in full working order and reasonable cosmatic condition. These are very rare speakers, designed and made by Roy Allison of Acoustic Research fame. Having researched these speakers, when Roy Allison left AR, he started his own speaker company and built these amongst other models. I believe that these can handle up to 100watts rms but cannot find confirmation in any material on line. Please note these have a 6 ohm impedance so your amp will need to work with speakers below the usual 8 ohm impedance. I have re-foamed the surrounds on the woofers and fully tested the speakers to ensure they are fully operational. The rebuilt speakers are still running in but they reproduce a stunning mid and high frequency sound, very detailed with well controlled bass. Its recommended that these are placed on or close to the floor according to a review I read for best sound. Cosmetically, someone has left screw holes in the top of the cabinets (as pictured) and there are some fine scratches to the wooden surround. The front covers fit perfectly and are undamaged apart from a few light marks. Collection is my preferred option so that the buyer can listen/view the speakers to ensure they are happy. It was used to divide a 4” mid/bass woofer from a 1” dome tweeter at 2.5kHz and has top quality materials in its construction. This crossover is from the first version MS200; later MS-200 used a smaller tweeter and cost-cutting spring-tab +/- terminals.So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this outstanding dividing network is correct for your needs. This Allison crossover is in clean, excellent condition. The black plastic chassis has no cracks, chips, or scratches. It measures 4?” in diameter, extends 2½” into the cabinet, and features heavily wound copper inductors, quality resistors, and a large capacitor. Plus, the sturdy +/- binding post input terminals hold speaker cable very tightly and can also accommodate banana plugs, pins, etc. And, Ive divided the woofer and tweeter wires neatly into pairs for the new owners convenience. Overall, this crossover network is very nicely preserved! Seldom available, this crossover is a great find if you have broken an input terminal, etc. on one of your MS200’s. Allison tweeter pulled from Model One, used in models One, Two, Three, Four and possibly others. These are originals from Model Ones. Check to verify you can use in your system. Most of these have pushed in caps, dents, scrapes etc. This tweeter are about as good as you will find. Image is the exact tweeter you will receive. It has been tested working. I have other Allison parts for sale. Mids and 10 professionally refoamed woofers. Also nice grill sections and cabinets/crossovers with original boxes will also be available. Im selling four Allison One grill sections for $200 plus shipping. This is for all four as shown. Shipping continental US only or if overseas via Ebay Global Shipping. As you know these are fragile and crack easily if removed and installed frequently. Intact ones are rare. Three have no cracks. One has a crack that a prior owner attempted to repair using reinforced tape. I read you can cement them together using ABS cement. There are two brass Allison One badges. I can pack safely at no charge. Im in Greenville SC. Local pick up is fine.
