All working great, you have to give the platter a little spin-start’ as the platter is very heavy on these, which is norm. The arm is also a stunnning example, looks new, with no corrosion or marks. Sounds superb and is fitted with a Shure cartridge. The only slight oddity, is the lid has a blanking plug where the lid-stay would have been, but the cut out for the lid-stay, but it’s on the other side… i ask if ythe owner had replaced the lid, he denied it.. The neon on/off switch has a mionor hair-line crack, but this hardly noticeable. I have honestly never seen one in this condition... Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING. Ariston RD11 turntable. Cosmetic condition is generally good, a few marks to the plinth which we have tried to show in the photos. No arm is included but an SME armboard is fitted. The turntable is in good working order but users should note that no base board or feet are fitted to the turntable. It would be a good idea to install a baseboard and otherwise at the very least fit some sort of cord grip for the mains lead. The turntable does not come with a lid.For these reasons we would describe the turntable as a working project. We can ship worldwide please just ask for a quote.

Ariston RD 11 Turntable in need of some tlc. This unit has No tone arm or cartridge. Motor has to be started coaxed by hand by turning the pulley. After a while the motor starts making noise when spinning. So, I assume the motor needs repair or replacement. Arm board, platter, belt, electronics, dust cover, plinth, suspension, base, etc, 5 pin Din to RCA cable are all included. As previously stated, the tone arm is missing but all electronics are present. Cosmetically very good in all respects, please view the auction photos since they are the most important part of this description. Functioning dust cover is clear with No cracks. It sounds great and Bob has set up the speeds, they both lock in perfecty. The arm is the Ariston one it was sold with, pretty decent really, and probably made by Acos, at a guess and looks like the ones used on te early Rotel deck, such as the 1500. The auto stop function doesn;t see to work and looking at the udner side, it looks like this may have been disconnected. Very little in the way of cosmetic imperfections. LP12 Period Ariston Audio RD11 record deck with Rega RB250 arm. This is one of the earlier LP12 type Ariston RD11 turntables. I believe it is early 70s before the design changes were made. It has the original machined inner plater bearing, pre ball bearing. It has a Rega RB250 fitted with VTA adjuster as Rega arms require this when fitted to LP12s. It also has an upgraded RB330 stub and counterweight. It has an acrylic arm board which tightens up the sound. The top plate looks to have had some extra holes drilled for a Linn sub chassis at some point (see pics) but this doesn’t affect the sound. I have included a 45 adjuster (I can’t get it to fit, maybe someone can work it out). The early Linn and Ariston Decks were 33r only. You can fit a Hercules to these turntables as a direct upgrade if you desire! It spins as nicely at 33 as my LP12 and runs smooth. I’ve disengaged the belt feed as I find it rubs sometimes but can re-engage it if needed. It’s a great deck that is a piece of history in its own right and a great launching pad for the endless upgrade world of the LP12. International postage available.

I do not currently have a phono compatible pre-amp to check output - but it worked perfectly before I put it into careful storage. The unit comes with original manufacturers booklet and SME booklet which the purchaser may need to re-set up the arm and cartridge. I hope the photos show the condition of the unit which overall I would describe as good. It comes with an anti-rumble rubber turntable mat and good quality phono plugs/earth lead. I noticed preparing the deck for sale that a machine screw on one of the hinges is missing.
