Beogram 1700 turntable with MMC 20E cartridge. Used but both cartridge & turntable work great. Dustcover has some scratches as shown in the pictures. I’ve had this a long time- it was my first “serious” turntable. I no longer have the original packaging, but it will be packed securely for shipping. Local pickup is preferred- turntables can be sensitive to ship. Selling only because moving to a smaller place & thus forced to downsize. This was taken from a working vintage system that is being dismantled. My loss, your gain?

ETM is the equivalent of the amount of inertia the groove 'sees' in moving or accelerating the stylus tip. Consequently, the higher the ETM value, the higher the force required for a given constant acceleration. Obviously, more force results in more wear. Three elements contribute to ETM. The stylus tip (diamond) contributes with its entire weight and mass. The armature contributes between 5 - 20% of its weight and mass; the cantilever around 30%. B&O has been able to reduce ETM substantially by refining these elements and building them into an integrated unit. The result is a system which not only reduces damage to the groove walls dramatically, but also provides exceptional performance at all frequencies. This was the last of the MMC 20 range to be discontinued with cartridges being available late into the 1990s. It produced a typical warm B&O sound though lacked some of the more expensive models treble clarity. With an ETM of only 0.5mg, it was a fine cartridge and sturdy with it. B&O Beogram 1700 Turntable. Not used for some time and I cannot test it as my Ouveture has gone now. Powers on. Arm lowers automatically onto record but will not raise up high enough on return and scrapes across the record. I can hear sounds from the record but as I’ve no amp or speakers I don’t know the quality and I cannot guarantee the condition of the stylus. Definitely needs someone who knows about these turntables to repair it. Lid has scratches. Prefer collection as it’s a fragile item and I I can’t guarantee how it’s going to be handled if I post it. Comes with five pin cable.

Der Beogram funktioniert Vollautomatisch und spielt Platten in 33er, sowie 45er Geschwindigkeit ab. Durch Druck auf die entsprechende Taste bewegt sich der Tonarm automatisch zum Plattenanfang und setzt die Nadel in die Rille. Der Beogram ist bis auf ein paar kleinere im Licht erkennbare Mängel noch super erhalten und läuft sehr ruhig. Im inneren des Plattenspielers wurde die Mechanik gereinigt und bewegliche Teile frisch geölt. Die Nadel sowie das System funktionieren ebenfalls und hatten über meinen angeschlossen Verstärker einen sehr schönen Klang. Ein gut verpackter Versand ist auf Risiko des Käufers möglich.
