The surrounds, afaik, are the original foam, and showing no signs of rot / cracking. I cleaned / conditioned the veneer about 3 years ago. All things considered, its difficult to find a pair of 601s right now, that look this good. They are almost 40 years old, so they have some blemishes typical of a vintage speaker. However, they are very few, all things considered. They have always sat in my living room, until about a year ago. I own instruments, so they have always lived in a humidity controlled environment. I do not have the boxes. They sound fantastic, enormous. Everything is in perfect working order, all tweeters and woofers, no punched in caps, etc. Everything is original including the grille material. Here is a listing for an excellent pair of Bose, 601 series 3 stereo speakers. These speakers are in excellent working condition! Fully tested and fully functional. The walnut veneer cabinets are in great condition for their age, showing only a few light scratches and edge nicks. The speaker grills have been re-dyed because of sun fading and show a few small irregularities and one small patch as shown in the photos. None of these issues are seen from more than five or 6 feet away. Truly a very nice pair that I would rate an 8 out of 10 cosmetically. And perfect functionally. No shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or PO boxes.

Optisch alterstypische Gebrauchsspuren, Ecken ganz leicht angestoßen, was aber wenig auffällt. Stoffbespannung und Holzfurnier ohne Schäden. Wir brauchen Platz für einen Holzofen, darum habe ich kleinere Boxen gekauft. 65cm hoch, 38cm breit und 33cm tief. Vorbeikommen und Probehören erwünscht - Artikelstandort ist 88167 Röthenbach -, aber ich kann sie auch verschicken.
