These are Cain and Cain Abby clones I built to the same dimensions and better parts quality than the originals. Anyone reading this who is familiar with the late Terry Cain knows how well regarded these are. I was too late to buy a set because Cain and Cain was closed after his Terrys death but a friend had a pair that I copied. Made from D select 3/4 select pine and using the Fostex 6 1/2 nearfield driver.four coats of poly applied with a foam brush looks as if it were sprayed in a booth.Internal wiring is Jupiter copper in cotton, binding posts are Cardas and supertweeter is the Fostex F17H which is the recommended tweeter for the main driver. Its crossed over at 7000 Hz with a single Obbligato 1.5 uF copper capacitor and reaches to 50,000 Hz.They are 94 Db efficient so driving them is not a problem.
