Dual CS 505-1 turntable, mechanically working fine but there is a loud humming from the left channel, the right is fine. Looking at the white RCA plug it is cracked in many places so this might be the issue. The deck plays fine and the speeds are bang on, the arm lower / lift works fine. No auto return on this deck, it has auto lift and stops the platter. The Nagoka cartridge is in excellent condition, the stylus is straight and has lots of life left, this alone is worth £75 hence my asking price on the deck. The turntable can be bought for a lower price without the cartridge, please email me if you want this option. The plinth and deck are all in good condition, the lid is cracked at the back, has been glued in the past and the glue is giving way. The lid will not stay open in it current state so remove to play and put back when you have finished. If re-glued it will be fine but has cracks and marks as you can see. Please see the images as they form part of the description. Vintage Dual belt drive turntable in good working condition. It has been in storage for many years but I’ve tested it and it works well including the automatic stop and tonearm return at the end of a record. The original cartridge has been replaced with an ADC XLM Mk III. I didn’t notice any issues in my testing. The dust cover has no cracks but does have some cuffs as shown. Due to vintage nature of this item it is sold as-is and without warranty. The original packaging is included as shown in the photos. I will be shipping the turntable in the original box. If you’d prefer to preserve the original box please message me and we can arrange to double-box it for an additional shipping fee.

The turntable itself is mechanically fully operational. However, the reason I am selling this as Spares/Repairs is that I am now only getting sound out of one channel. I suspect that one of the headshell wires that connect to the cartridge pins has been broken or loosened after I had removed and then reconnected the cartridge to the headshell. A Dual DN140S stylus is fitted which had been in use for around 4 weeks. I can demonstrate if required. COLLECTION ONLY
