Selling my Metrum Acoustics Amethyst (120v) with both DAC3 and DAC2 modules. Easy to swap to your preferred sound (just need a small hex key allen wrench to pop off the top). To my ears, DAC3 provides a noticeably higher resolution sound, increasing the soundstage and filling out the highest and lowest parts of the spectrum, but DAC2 still has a bit of analog warmth and charm. This unit was sent directly to Metrum Acoustics in October 2022 for the DAC3 upgrade and to get everything checked out and confirm everything is in perfect working order. There is a small fleck on the volume dial (shown in a close-up photo) as well as a small nick on one of the corners of the face plate (also see close-up photo). Otherwise, the unit is in excellent condition, as it was used lightly. Im selling because Im slowly stepping away from audio, as work and family have begun to take up more and more of my time. Ive loved this DAC while Ive had it, as it gave me a real appreciation for what a NOS DAC can be -- as well as hifi audio in general. Price reflects very good used condition as well as DAC3 upgrade. Outputs RCA and balanced XLR. Id put the pre amplifier section up with Hugo TT. Up for sale my Metrum Pavane with dac 3 in mint conditions without cosmetic flaws. Needless to say it works perfectly and sounds amazing. It was bought in 2018 as level 3 and upgraded by Metrum in late 2021 with new digital board, 8 dac3 converters and mqa module (not installed). The upgrade costed 2674 euros (all the receipt are available). I still have the old dacs and digital board as spares). It has i2s input (no usb). Complete with remote, power cable and double original box. European voltage. Extra Euro zone buyers must ask for actual shipping costs.

For sale is the amazing Metrum Acoustics Adagio DAC and pre-amplifier. This is in as new condition and the only visible marks are on the base where it has sat on Panzerholtz ball bearing feet, otherwise I looked hard to see any marks and couldnt.This is an ex-dem model and only used to demonstrate the use connected directly to power amps etc. Comes with all the original box and extras including the i2S module. Retail for this is now around £5400 and having heard many more expensive DACs, this is still an amazing DAC especially if you just want to connect this to power amps. Very analogue and organic sound. I will include a Argenti Ultra power cord worth £350 and a set of 3 Panzerholtz feet if sold for the asking price.I also know exactly which digital cable this DAC likes so will be happy to discuss this too.
