Fab DANSETTE BERMUDA RECORD PLAYER WITH LEGS, Fully Refurbished Dansette Bermuda Record Player in plum and cream, cleaned and serviced and looking beautiful! The case has been totally stripped and recovered in new Rexine type vinyl material. New catches, hinges and handle clasps are fitted. The BSR record deck, which will play up to eight records consecutively, has been cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. The valve amplifier has been checked and had new components fitted including new capacitors. A new three core earthed mains lead and 3amp fused plug is also fitted. It is fitted with a modern stylus and cartridge which is safe to use on your stereo records and also suitable for 78RPM records. In addition I have fitted two sockets on the rear. Audio In, which allows you to connect a phone, pad, pod, CD player or Bluetooth receiver and listen to the music through the the record player in mono. Stereo out lets you connect the player to a Hifi amplifier or Bluetooth transmitter. This machine is designed to be used on a power supply of 210 to 250 volts AC at 50 hertz. If youre in the USA your power supply is 120 volts AC at frequency of 60 Hertz. I can supply the equipment to convert both the voltage and frequency for a further $75. This is a genuine British made Dansette, not a cheap plastic Chinese lookalike. The records are not included. Postage shown is for UK mainland. Here is a superb example of a original 1960s vintage Dansette Bermuda MK1 record player its finished in the classic combination of 100% original grey & cream rexine with flecks in the cream, you dont get this with all those recovered ones! This player has NOT been painted or recovered this is the original real deal! its all clean bright & vibrant almsot looking like new! This model also comes suitable for the fitting of legs as it has the base plates for them fitted on the bottom, I have included a picture a red one on legs to show how they look (legs not included) legs simply screw on or off as required.. It is fully restored electrically & mechanically & is in as new working order with great authentic 60s sound. This is not a cheap modern plastic foreign made Crossley re-pro player, this is a genuine 1960s vintage made in England Dansette, The turntable is a superb BSR UA15 deck it plays any record, any size, any speed. About 8 records can be stacked & will be played automatically in turn one after the other or manually if preferred. The white front grill covers the internal speaker & two brass capped controls are mounted on it one a combined on/off volume & a tone, there is also a red light above the controls that comes on when the player is switched on. This Dansette Bermuda dates from 1963 its the Mk1 model, they were made from 1962-66, This is is just as Dansette intended it to be this is not a custom makeover player. This was the biggest selling Dansettes of the mid 1960s, Its fitted with a very similer amplifier that others like the Major & Tempo etc had so it sounds just as good as they do. For me its the very best looking of all the models from the Dansette range, it just screams the period at you with its superb looks & captures the times to perfection! Dansette made a wide range of record players they came in many colour schemes, many companies made record players but none had quite the style & classic look and variety of colours that Dansettes had & they are now regarded as design icons & they truly sum up a golden age of music and are now highly collectable, and for me there is no better authentic way to hear those classic 50s & 60s records or indeed any records as they were heard at the time on authentic period equipment! This player has been stripped & professionally cleaned inside & out there is not a visible part that has not been cleaned, I have put in many many hours of work & care to get it looking & sounding like this again! Cosmetically this is in overall great condition with hardly any marks at all! Its a fab looking & sounding player & its amazing to think this its 60 years old! The deck has its original rubber mat fitted & its just as soft as when new! All the brass effect fittings are in good order & gleam & are rust free. I will also supply copys of the original operating instructions with this player! The valve amplifier has been serviced with components testing & replaced where rquired, for safety its now been rewired & fitted with a double insulated earthed mains cable, a 3amp correct fuse is fitted to the plug, unlike most restored Dansettes today this is fitted with a original period cartridge a restored for maximum output BSR TC8H high output cartridge this is mono & should not be used on Stereo records Its got as new loud output & comes with a new vinyl & 78rpm stylus (I can fit a Stereo compatable cartridge if required message for advice if unsure) The turntable has been lubricated & works as it should on ALL speeds. The autochanger works just as it should changing records! There is no crackle from the volume or tone controls. This is a great chance to get a superb looking & sounding Dansette Bermuda this was one of the Dansette models that really sums up the 1960s to peerfection, its a classic & it represents the period to perfection its sure a Dansette not to miss! & dont forget its all ready for legs if required. This has got superb original looks with great authentic period sound! it would make a fantastic talking point in any home, so dont miss this one.. I have been restoring Dansettes for years now & I know all the models made & all the correct colours they came in so you can be assured that any player I sell will look as Dansette intended it to look and be totally authentic. DANSETTE BERMUDA This is a superb baby blue and cream Dansette Bermuda record player from the late sixties that has had an extensive refurbishment and has been fully serviced with years of experience and is now offered in perfect working order and almost new condition. This Dansette has a single stage valved amplifier which plays through an elliptical speaker that gives a powerful, high quality sound reproduction. The two front control knobs for on/off volume and tone have had an extensive clean, and now adjust perfectly, without distortion and no loud crackle that is usually associated with record players that have been stored away for long periods, allowing you to set your desired sound - an excellent sounding machine, something you would expect from a Dansette. The rear has an output socket which can be connected to an external amplifier as well being able to plug in add-ons like a cassette and loud speaker. The BSR 4 speed auto-changer is in stunning condition having the odd small blemish, all mechanics have been fully serviced with all the old grease removed and all parts cleaned and re greased and oiled with correct grades of lubricants to give it a nice smooth playing action as it had lay unused for many years, The Idler and Motor have been stripped, cleaned and re-lubed and the player is now again in perfect original working order. The Tone arm has been adjusted to give the correct stylus pressure to ensure long life to your treasured vinyl. It will stack a maximum of six records (either 12 33 rpm, 10 78 rpm and 7 45 rpm) to be played automatically. The Amp has also had an extensive service and all leaky capacitors and electrolytics and any out of spec resistors have been replaced with more reliable modern equivalents to give a virtually mains hum free operation. The cartridge has had a new stylus fitted and is a Mono BSR X5M medium Output cartridge which is Stereo compatible which means it is safe to play STEREO records on. The Cabinet retains all the original Rexine covering which is in stunning condition for its age, not quite 100% perfect but the best I have ever seen. The hinges and all cabinet metal work did not do the player justice so have now been replaced with new original Cheney England hinges and all brand new re-manufactured metal work, even down to every brass screw, including under the lid. A new three core earthed mains lead with modern colours complete with a new correctly fused mains plug has been fitted to comply with modern regulations. This player has been PAT tested by a qualified engineer. This Dansette is also comes with brand new black 15 inch detachable legs. ---------- A superb original Dansette that can only appreciate in value.
