TAMPER PROOF STICKERS added to player and security marked inside so all you part thieves forget it i have photo evidence of all crucial parts inside to include transport and dac and boards and would be checked on return if seals are broken YOU OWN IT . condition like to say perfect but i say 9/10 is excellent you will not find a cleaner one anywhere. i have also checked had all crucial capacitors and they are ALL within spec this is also rare i would say 70 percent would have failed by now. RARE. the laser and transport work as NEW immediate reading of disc 1-2 seconds and the drawer is flawless very smooth like when it was when purchased. includes original paperwork shown and iec cable the remote is replacement as i didnt like the arcam one to big and to many buttons but they are easy to find for 20 quid or so. if i can find it i will add free of charge. packed in original box and posted via ups FULLY INSURED so in the unlikely event of damage it will be covered. DescriptionIncludes two copies of the grading statement.This is an authorized import and is 100V specification. This Verdi La Scala has been upgraded at a local specialty store. Both Verdi and Elgar started out sounding great, but both Verdi and Elgar were upgraded by replacing the condensers with condensers from the best sounding period. Since no modifications have been made to the condensers, they will accept them even if they have to be repaired elsewhere, and since they are high-quality condensers originally used by dCS, there is no need to worry about them sounding worse than before they were replaced. By the way, if the original sound is 100 points, the latest version is about 200 points in sound quality. Also, the power supply board has been replaced with a high-quality Scarlatti power board, making Verdi La Scala the highest sound quality in the world! After the upgrade, the sound is intense and high-speed, but also natural. It was upgraded and repaired in 2016 and 2021, replacing the SONY mechanism assembly (pickup lens and drive mechanism) and at considerable cost! The unit is a beauty with no noticeable scratches, but the display glass came off during shipping and rubbed in the shipping box, so the print on the inside is pretty much gone. Please see photos. The remote control is clean. I tested 10 SACDs on hand and they all read and played fine. However, Verdi La Scala is a scratchy SACD, and European and Japanese minor label SACDs read poorly. This is not a defect but a specification. Also, when I turn on the power, it enters test mode with a fairly high probability, but if I immediately turn off the power and restart it, it works as usual. This test mode is a test mode for SONY, the drive mechanism, and dCS did not know how to fix it. After rebooting, it is working 100% normally. Highly regarded player with legendary dCS RingDAC. Sounds stunning. Excellent overall condition, fully working with fully working original remote, mains cable. One small mark to front panel (near drawer) and light rubs to top surface which are hard to photograph. See photos which as ever form an important part of the description.
