So while this Denon player operates and plays perfectly fine, just a slight tap on the disc holder is occasionally required to facilitate opening or closing which otherwise functions consistently smoothly and quickly. This Denon model has also been noted for its exceptionally solid and stable build quality as much as its technical attributes. Despite the deceptively basic CD player size and appearance, subtle details include metal rather than plastic buttons and most significantly a hefty weight of 20 pounds thanks to a reported 4mm sheet of lead inside the top cover that minimizes if not eliminates vibrations.
