Dating back to the mid eighties our unit does have a few understandable marks but has been serviced and is in fully working condition. Denon Says…. The DCD-1000 compact laser disc player utilizes a unique Denon Super Linear Converter which prevents deterioration of sound quality in the PCM playback system, assuring accurate reproduction in the studio or live sound production areas of sound recorded on compact discs. This high quality disc player, whose parts have been selected after careful discrimination, produces realistic playback of the full musical scene. This unique Denon system which is used to prevent the generation of distortion at zero cross, the main cause of sound deterioration in a PCM playback system, enables realistic playback of the full musical production. In order to bring the left and right channels into phase after D/A conversion, a double sample hold circuit has been installed. This eliminates phase differences in the entire band range of the musical signal, enabling high stability playback. Non-interference circuit construction allows for three main systems: The digital signal control system; The laser pickup and disc servo system; The audio system. These can each be driven by a dedicated power source. Desired pieces can be selected from those recorded on disc, and their desired order of play programmed, for automatic play.
