There are scratches on the amplifier - as can be seen in the photos.2. The amplifier had been rack mounted and the feet are missing, as are the rack mount ears.3. The RCA input jacks on channels 1 and 2 are slightly bent and wobble slightly. The connections are solid, however it can be seen in one of the photos. Emotiva Mc-700 Pre Amplifier Hdmi Audio/video Processor I bought this with a vintage amplifier and struggled to use this, especially as Im not use to this type of interface. I performed a factory reset at the beginning and had it working very well. However I found sometimes I couldnt manage to get along with it. It may have glitches or I just wasnt using it correctly. But Im must say it tested my patience and I have zero patience for things like this! So best to assume it needs a service or is potentially faulty. However it may actually just be the user error. Ive only owned it for a month or so. To sum up what these glitches were, I was trying to set it up with a very complex 5.1 system and sometimes Id have audio and other times it seemed to freeze or I just couldnt get it back to the original settings Id had before. (Apologies if thats not very technical - but Im into very basic hifi and this is beyond my understanding and I frankly just got annoyed with it. )
