From my collection of hifi bits - hopefully of use to someone (please see my other 205C working cartridges for sale): Legendary Technics EPS-205ED3 boron stylus for a 205C mk3 cartridge - damaged/non-working. Please take a good look at the pictures. The cantilever is present but looks twisted, and the stylus body bottoms out on the record, so the suspension seems to have gone? It does NOT play records, but someone might be able to resurrect this? I have used replacement styli in two of these great cartridges, but these original Technics boron originals are the real deal (with samarian cobalt magnets, boron pipe cantilevers and HPF yokes) - so I hope someone can do something with this or be good for parts/repair? Die Nadel ist ebenso im sehr gutem Zustand, man könnte, so wie es auf den Mikroskopbildern zu sehen ist, ehrlicher Weise auch Neuwertig zu sagen. Der Diamant ist für sein Alter wirklich in tollen Zustand! Hier kommt ein klarer, elliptisch sehr schön geschliffener, Diamant zum Einsatz. Also nicht ein aufgesetzter Splitter, sondern ein voller Diamant. Einige mögen jetzt sagen, nur eine Ellipse. Aber man muss schon sagen, wenn man allein die Schliffe der Seiten sieht, das Technics den scharfen 0.2x0.7 Micron Schliff eben auch perfektioniert hat und die Qualität zusätzlich via seinerzeit einzigartige Werkstoffe, was den Cantilever, also der Teil der den Diamant trägt und der die Schwingungen auch mit überträgt, geschaffen hat. Davon zeugen Frequenzgänge bis zu 100kHz, ein Wert den ich so glaub nur von Technics kenne, und klar das ist nicht alles, lässt aber schon die Richtung erahnen in welche Richtung hier bei Dynamik und Hochtonauflösung Technics gearbeitet wird. Und für mich sieht der Schliff auch ähnlich einem Line Contact Schliff aus, ähnlich den MLs später bei Audio Technica, who knows… Sei es wie es sei, es ist ein wunderschöner Diamant der sicher für Großes gemacht wurde. Es lässt sich immer nur schwer sagen wieviel die guten Stücke so gelaufen sind, die wenigsten besitzen ja so eine Laufzeit Uhr welche die Laufzeit mitstoppt. Da er aber in diesem schönem Zustand ist wohl eher weniger. Es erwarten euch also noch sicher viele Stunden Zweisamkeit mit diesem wirklich tollen System!! Hier auch nochmals der Hinweis das er schön sauber ist! So sauber bekommt man sehr gebrauchte Nadeln und vor allem Cantilever nicht mehr!! Hier wurde äußerst pflegsam umgegangen und einfach sparsam genutzt! Das steht sicher fest!! Daher auch meine These, dass die Nadel noch nicht all zu viel auf dem Tacho hat!! Der Diamant steht perfekt senkrecht lediglich der Cantilever steht ein wenig schief, ist aber wirklich nur auf Großaufnahmen zu sehen, mit dem Auge nix zu sehen! Hat aber keinerlei Auswirkungen. Es ist häufig zu lesen das das das bekannte Ortofon 2M Black ein guter Vergleich sei, das hab ich noch nicht gehört, aber das soll ja ein ganz passables System sein ????????????
