Description:- Here we have a simply Exceptional pair of the highly regarded Esoteric Audio Reserach EAR 509 mk.2 valve mono blocks, designed by Valve Legend, the late, great, Tim de paravicini. BOXED pristine, exceptional examples, practically unmarked. These went back to Tim circa 2012 for a full service, i cannot pass on what work was done, as sadly the previous owner doesn’t have the paperwork any more, and very sadly, i am no longer able to ask Tim… They was biased last week by the previous owner (adjustable from the top) They sound sublime, and have tons of power.. 100w of valve oomph is pretty serious. No noteable transformer hum and one of the quietest noise floors i have heard in a valve amplifier… these are pretty special. As well as the original boxes, There is a spare full set of valves and valve cooling shrouds included. The valves are a mix of European and electro harmonix and a couple of the 12AX7’s are Telefunkens, all valbes were recommended to The previous owner by Tim The valves are in their original positions when last biased and these will be labled prior to removing for shipping. Shipping will be by pallet only, no other way, please dont ask… unless you want to collect them from us.
