The Gryphon Exorcist - System Demag The Exorcist is a beautifully finished metal extrusion which looks like a minimalist hand-held remote controller. It measures 70x48x22, its jet black and it bears all sorts of text on its upper surface. At the top end are two phono sockets; on the top plate above the text, theres a tiny toggle switch marked Engage. Unscrew the bottom plate for access to the 9V battery which powers the unit. As the legends on the upper surface state so clearly, you connect the Exorcist to a line input - NOT PHONO!!!!! - via the RCAs, select that input, click the toggle and turn up the pre-amp or amps gain to the highest normal SPL. In my opinion and system it made a decent improvement when I first used it, smoother, sweeter with more musical expression. If you use it before every listening session like I did, it will help keep your system tip top. Only selling because Ive recently bought several audio enhancement CDs which do more or less the same thing but which have the advantage of being able to leave on repeat. Also Im trying to declutter my system. Please do some research before bidding because returns are not accepted. If my memory serves me correctly this cost 250. - 300. Before it was discontinued, but prices obviously varied considerably. Its in perfect condition as shown in the pics which are of the actual item being sold.
