From the early 1950s, when blond furniture was all the rage, heres a real beauty—a 1952 Firestone Clock Radio for your consideration. This clock radio model doesnt show up often. The silent-running clock has been cleaned and lubed and keeps perfect time. Other than the updated electronics, this five-tube AM radio is all original; finish, knobs, back, decal and labels. The radio picks up many stations with its internal antenna and the dial is lighted for nighttime tuning. Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. They offer a better external description than I could. There are no cracks or chips, just a couple minor hardly noticeable nicks. Ive listened to baseball games, football games, and talk shows. The radio is turned on using the small knob on the left side of the clock. Time is set from the back. Please dont mess with the electronics unless youre experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. You probably wont need to for quite a while with this one, anyway, since the tubes and electronics are now in good shape. Ill take special care packing the clock radio for shipping, but since its old, I cant guarantee anything other than it was working when packed.
