This listing is for an EDISON Spherical Audion Gas Triode Vacuum Tube - On Wood Base. This tube was made by the same talented fellow who made my other tubes. However, the name EDISON, inscribed nicely on the wood base, is, so far as I know, in error. To my knowledge, Edison never produced any triode tubes of this early type to have been models for a replica. Thus it would appear that his knowledge of the history of tubes was not perfect. Nonetheless, this tube is a great reproduction of a very early Audion type globe gas triode, beautifully mounted and mislabeled. It is tested and draws current on the tester when filament is applied and plate voltage is also applied. However, I do not see a glow inside that would be indicative of a Gas Triode. This tube is in good cosmetic condition as well. This is 100% guaranteed to be as described. I am happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability.
