GOLDRING TURNTABLE, EXCELLENT WORKING ORDER. STYLUS IS A JAPANESE COPY OF ORIGINAL, SOUND VERY VERY GOOD. I HAVE ENCLOSED A NEW GOLDRING BELT, BUT HAVE LEFT THE OLD BELT ON AS IT IS RUNNING FINE. THERE IS A SLIGHT SQUEAK AS YOU TURN IT ON WHICH SUGGESTS AT SOME TIME IT WILL NEED A NEW ONE. THE LID HAS A MILKY SHEEN TO IT WHICH IS ONLY COSMETIC. LOOKS AND SOUNDS VERY MUCH LIKE A REGA DECK. For sale is my faithful Goldring GR1 turntable, which after many years of sterling service has now been replaced by an newer model. This was a mainstay during my CD years so saw very little active service, but when it did the fidelity was always superb. Im back into vinyl in a big way these days so have justified an upgraded system. This works perfectly and will do someone a great turn. Open to reasonable offers for a quick sale. GOLDRING GR1 BELT DRIVE TURNTABLE RB251 TONEARM (three point fixing) Audio Technica AT95 CARTRIDGE Goldring version of the truly iconic Rega Planar: the classic British stripped down no-nonsense turntable. A lightened Planar 3 with different tonearm stub and counterweight, MDF platter and plinth. One reason for its enduring popularity is the excellent RB251 tonearm with three point fixing. Reliability is superb because theres nothing much to go wrong. Also loads of aftermarket tweaks and mods, if you want to get into that kind of thing. Much better value than a modern entry level turntable from a hi-fi shop.MDF platter with original mat on bearing mounted in MDF plinth along with tonearm. Ouput leads to RCA/phono plugs with no groundwire, as the RB251 is internally earthed. Full manual: Pressing start switches motor on. Arm is raised and cued manually with arm lift. Lift and return at end of a side is manual too. Manual speed selection achieved by removing platter and moving belt on dual pulley motor spindle. Deck itself is in excellent cosmetic condition, plinth is virtually unmarked- as is tonearm (except for obligatory marks on headshell from cartridge fitting) and platter. Lid has orbital polishing marks and a few surface scratches; there is a slight crack from the corner of the central badge insert.All in good working order. RB251 tonearm has good bearing, proper cuing drop speed, anti-skating works fine. Equipped with Audio Technica moving magnet cartridge. Motor runs silently and gets to operating speed quickly. Belt is used but in good working condition. Speed strobe tested and is spot on and very stable.Setting up is easy: balance the tonearm with by screwing/unscrewing the counterweight on the stub, turn to required tracking force, given that half a turn is calibrated to be half a gram- so two full turns for a standard MM cartridge. Set anti-skating to the same mass. Platine vinyle Goldring GR2, complète comme fournie dorigine avec bras Rega RB250 et cellule et stylet Goldring 1012GX. Assez peu utilisé et entreposé depuis quelques années. Le couvercle est un peu éraflé et rayé et présente une fissure (visible sur la photo). Le « placage » en plastique sur le socle est intact mais est légèrement séparé de la base de chaque côté (également visible sur une photo). Cependant, cest un combo qui sonne vraiment bien, fiable et facile à utiliser.
