Linn Sondek LP12 Upgraded Turntable StackAudio Subchassis, Grace 707 Tonearm and Grace Cartridge. The table was upgraded with a used Cirkus bearing, new cross brace, new grommets and springs, a vintage Valhalla power supply and more. At this point, the turntable plays out of one channel only and it has not been fully determined if it is a problem with a cartridge tag or if the cartridge itself (which I highly suspect) is shot. That part of the work was not completed as the owner died. We are now recovering the costs of our work and the balance will be given to the surviving spouse. So, please no absurd offers. I had been using this fantastic arm for some years on a custom-built turntable when I decided to upgrade the internal cabling from the old original stuff. In the process I managed to lose one of the bearings that is fitted into the side of the arm tube and no-way to get this repaired in New Zealand. Other than the arm-tube bearing cup everythng is there and working perfectly mechanically. Please see images. Up for auction is an early version of Linn LP12 with the Grace 707 Arm – factory configured before Linn has its own arms. It has been well preserved – the arm and the cover do not have cracks and no major scratches. The turntable turns at accurate speed and the arm is in perfect working order. As I have many spare cartridges, I have throw-in a Grado with stylus, as shown in the last picture, at no charge. (It should work but a new stylus might be required if the new owner likes the Grado.)It is expected that the new owner will install his own preferred cartridge. Rare Luxman A522 belt drive turntable. Comes with a lovely example of a grace G707 tonearm. Though based loosely on a regs P3 the brass pulley & substantial glass platter set this turntable apart. The armboard would certainly take a longer arm too. Fully working, lid could do with a bit of tlc/polish but no cracks and hinges are fine. The odd corner has a bit of peeling on the plinth but would be a dead easy to reglue if you wanted it mint
