Verkaufe nach langer Überlegung meine seltenen Monitor headline No. 8 aus der Lautsprecher Schmiede des Entwicklers Jürgen Beckers.Der Klang ist unbeschreiblich, man muss diesen Lautsprecher gehört haben. Ist für mich weiterhin einer der besten Lautsprecher welchen ich bisher betrieben habe, muss aber den Focal Expression weichen, welche ich mir gerade restauriert habe. Klanglich schenken sich beide Lautsprecher aber nicht viel. Ich hatte sie selbst vor vielen Jahren gebraucht aus Erstbesitz gekauft. This is a Naim Headline 2 with Din connection to a Naim pre-amplifier and power supply. It has the usual Naim pace, rhythm and timing and can drive difficult headphone loads. Manufactured around 2014 I have been using this on my Naim system with great results.

As you can see from the images, this particular Headline 2 has been fitted, by a Naim dealer, with an extended interconnect cable. The cable itself is the very high quality Linn Silver, which usual sells for £47 per metre (unterminated). This cable is just over 4.4 metres long, making it over £200’s worth. This longer cable provides two advantages. If your system is on the other side of the room, it makes it much easier to place the Headline 2 beside you, letting you easily use headphones with a short cable. The cable itself is also much higher quality than the original Naim grey cable. This means that, even though the cable is longer, the sound quality is actually better. The amp has been tested and we can confirm that it’s in excellent working order. There’s no distortion or volume control noise. The power LED works and all the sockets are secure. Cosmetically, this Headline 2 is in excellent condition with no major marks or scuffs, just a few tiny marks, such as the top front corner. Please see the images to make your own appraisal of the condition. About the Headline 2 The Headline 2 followed on from the original (olive) Headline and, like its predecessor, it’s a dedicated headphone amplifier that requires an outboard power supply. It’s designed to power a wide range of headphones and has far more power and finesse than just about any regular amplifier’s built-in headphone socket. The first thing you’ll notice is just how quiet the background is. This reveals more subtle details, letting higher quality headphones really shine. Distortion is also extremely low, letting you hear your music ‘like it is’. Build quality is superb, with the machined aluminium casing feeling very solid and shielding the sensitive electronics from interference. It was their demo unit, which they indicated had only been used a couple of times at the time I purchased it. Im cleaning out a closet and selling items I no longer need. ***Note that a separate power supply is required for the Headline to operate. A power supply is not included in this auction.*** The box and a Flashback adapter is included, which allows the Headline to be connected directly to a source using RCA jacks.
