There are a few minor marks on the cabinets as you would expect for older speakers that have been used and the tweeter covers have been compressed - but as everyone will know, they are just covers and do not affect the sound. It is worth pointing out that these speakers are very critical of positioning and are designed to be positioned against a back wall to get the best from them. Linn Isobarik PMS Active speakers c/w Naim Naxo 3-6. Relisted at a lower starting price to find where the value of these are! I had my Linn/Naim active Isobarik system last set up and being used about 5 years ago before I moved house with it all working very well indeed. Ive since had it carefully stored but realistically I dont think Ill have the opportunity to get it all set up again any time soon so Ive been selling the Naim equipment bit by bit and now its time to let the speakers and crossover go too. Please note that my PMS Isobariks are for ACTIVE USE ONLY as the passive crossovers have been removed from the bottom of the speakers by the previous owner.This is one of the reasons Im including the Naim Naxo 3-6 crossover in the sale to make it a more viable proposition for the next person who wants to build one of these truly remarkable active audio systems. The Naxo 3-6 was serviced by Witch Hat Audio in 2014 so might be due for another service soon but should also be working very well as is. Its an Olive piece with an unmarked case other than the tiniest nick on the edge of the metal case above the on/off knob. To the speakers, there is a photo of every drive unit to take a look at but all the drive units are undamaged and bear close inspection.The cabinets of both speakers are lovely, no damage whatsoever worth mentioning to the sides, fronts, tops and backs and just the spike marks on the undersides. The velcro for the grilles is all intact and all 4 grilles are in excellent condition and of very good quality. I bought these aftermarket grilles when I first got the speakers at considerable cost and they show no signs of breaking up. Overall the speakers are in excellent condition all round. The stands are the later closed in type which I think enhances the overall look and are also in very good condition. They have the usual spikes top and bottom. To reiterate these CANNOT BE USED PASSIVELY unless the passive crossovers are obtained and reinstated. They sound much better active anyway!!! Due to their size and weight these are for collection only. Any questions Ill do my best to answer.

Pair of Linn Isobarik DMS loudspeakers c/w proper Isobarik stands. I have owned these for around 20 years. I believe they are Afromosia finish (Teak). They are fully working and the drivers appear to be original units. Please not the speaker connections are DIN so you may need an adapter or new plugs for existing speaker cables. The grills are home made with proper speaker cloth as the originals were missing when I bought them and behind the grills is not pretty were the velcro had been. The cabinets themselves are in reasonable condition given their age (see photos). Serial numbers are 4799 and 4800 which dates them to late 1984. Linn Isobariks - DMS - unmodified and standard If you dont know what these are, they are probably not for you. (Sorry they are a bit specialised). I have owned these for around 20 years. They sound superb and the cabinets are in pretty good all round condition. There are a few minor marks; the photos show all sides - please view. Ive recently fitted Wilmslow Audio new covers (all 4) which are as close to acoustically transparent as one could get. Better than the originals which stretched and disintegrated. Personally I think they also look better than the originals and help improved the WAF If you wish for any advice as to whether your equipment will drive these please ask. Ive been an enthusiast for decades and first developed an aspiration for these after hearing them at Billy Vees in the early 1980s. This is my third pair of briks. Dont necessarily assume they need Naim or Linn amplification or expensive speaker cable. As long as there is sufficient headroom and stability some quite inexpensive amps do well. Ideally youd aim for Naim 250s or similar, but lower priced Linn amps are OK. Im currently using them with a pair of valve monoblocs fed by a Linn preamp and using 2.5mm mains cable for leads and once ran them with bridged NADs! (They sound yet better with properly matched specialist cable, but it is a path of diminishing returns and you might be surprised how good well made inexpensive cables can perform) Come and listen. (For comparison we also have a tri-amped Naim system with Van Damme cables). Reason for sale is I have too many speaker sets! The original Linn spiked speaker stands are included in the price. These weigh 38kgs - so there is no delivery option. I really want you to come and see them, hear them and decide they are for you. Payment either in cash, bank transfer or card (in person).
