You are buying one vintage JVC RX-6040(B) home theater audio video stereo component control receiver. The general specs are listed below and the specific specs, features & reviews can easily be found online by typing in the brand & model number on Google. My main concern in this description is to make you aware of the condition. Cosmetically there a 4 or 5 scratches on top of the metal cabinet and a couple very small surface scratches on the front plastic face. As far as functionality this unit is personally owned by me and was used gently & infrequently for many years. All features & functions are working, except for one particular issue as follows: When using the input for & listening to audio from TV SOUND, the audio cuts out intermittently for varying periods of time from several seconds to several minutes. I took it to a reliable local audio/video repair shop that went over it completely but could not determine the problem. They even tried switching out the TV sound input circuit board with a known working one and the problem still persisted. Their recommendation was to not use that input and instead hook up whatever component I had into TV Sound to different input and change its name in programming. I did that and although slightly inconvenient it worked out fine. Flash forward and I have finally decided to move up to a newer TV and going from DVD to Blu-Ray. So, this receiver just doesnt have the inputs I need for more modern components with HDMI. This is still a very good receiver that served my needs for a long time and I can honestly say that it has produced the best sound of any brand of receiver Ive ever owned. Please know that I have found it to sound the best and be most efficient when using it with speakers rated at 8 Ohms. You will receive the exact receiver as pictured but it does not come with the remote control nor the owners manual, which can be download online. Due to the size & weight of this item and the fact that all of the carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS) have raised their rates significantly for larger & heavier packages, this is item is pickup only (payment first) in Frankfort, ILLINOIS.
