Leak Stereo 30 Plus Integrated Amplifier Teak Cabinet (Multi Voltage) A quality vintage stereo integrated amplifier from Leak - the stereo 30 plus model. This is a solid state (transistor) output integrated amplifier. It is the second generation model with silicone based transistors that replaced the germanium transistors of the original stereo 30 unit. This model was designed for world voltages, with a voltage selector for 110,117,130, 210, 230 or 250 volts. The unit features two tuner or line level inputs - tuner 1 was designed with a high sensitivity circuit for Leak tuners, therefore it can easily be distorted by modern line level component outputs. Its best to use the tuner 2 input for such use. Two turntable inputs are provided - labelled as Pickup 1 and Pickup 2. Pickup 1 is suited for modern moving magnet cartridges with an RIAA preamp curve applied, whereas Pickup 2 has a two position switch for gain levels. The tape relay input switch applies a high gain circuit (similar to the tuner 2 input) to the tape output. However direct tape monitoring is available through the front panel Tape Monitor switch. The unit features a headphone jack that switches the speaker outputs off when headphones are connected. The unit is in good working order. It is 100% original as found - all electronic components are intact. No capacitor replacement has been performed. The original teak veneer wood cabinet is in good condition. Two replacement speaker fuses are still attached to the back panel.

A good Leak Stereo 30 Plus integrated amplifier with moving magnet phono stage in its original wooden sleeve. Working but in need of service. This is a transistor amplifier not the earlier valve model. It powers up just fine and the red light comes on. The volume pot works with no noise and is smooth. The Balance control works also with no noise. The bass and treble pots both work smoothly and correctly. The left channel is sounding just fine but the right channel is very dim and indistinct on all inputs. All inputs tested and working in a similar manner. One silver cap missing on phones switch. It has the original mains plug and speaker sockets for attaching speaker cables, essential as this does not accept modern plugs. Very dirty from decades of storage and a few stains to the wood but normal for and original example from this era. All original inside and unmolested. We will not clean it as this is how most customers seem to prefer them now. Will be well packed for delivery.
