A superb LEAK Stereo 20 with its matching Point One Stereo preamplifier. Cosmetically they are in a near mint condition and do perform superbly. Both unit have had all the electrolytic capacitors checked and all those found off specifications have been replaced with high quality ones, to preserve the sound signature. (See last photos) Most of the valves on both units are Mullard. The combo has been playing with the Celestion Ditton 44 ( a mint pair, untouched, as it came out of the factory) and the results are nonetheless impressive. As a personal fact, I would love that the new owner would keep the pairing together, considering that the speakers will be sold one day. Leak stereo 30 and 2030 speakers has not been in storage for years. I tested prior to listing . Functionally all are still working as they are meant to. Aesthetically their appearance show normal usage marks that commensurate with their age nothing unsightly. I am sure if they still meet original spec. So listing the pair as spare/repair/refurbish.

Leak Stereo 20 In good cosmetic condition expertly overhauled and sounding beautiful. The previous owner was a personal friend and an ex RAF electronics technician and long time audio enthusiast who lovingly overhauled it using high quality components of the original specification. The 2 large chassis mounted capacitor cans were opened, re-stuffed with high quality components and reassembled to retain the factory look. The work done is expert and this was his personal amplifier restored for himself. Unfortunately he developed a terminally illness and I acquired it from him shortly before his death. I will not send overseas so please don’t ask. It is extremely heavy and collection would be welcome. It does come with the original main lead.
