It is fitted with the reliable Transformer Power Supply. At the time this was Linn’s flagship preamp and this shows in the build quality and level of discrete components used in its construction. It is still one of the world’s best preamps. The amplifier has a mass of line level inputs as well as both the stunning moving magnet and moving coil inputs for sublime amplification for your phono cartridge. Linn Kairn MM/MC Preamplifier Serviced. This Linn Kairn has provided years of excellent service, reason for sale due to changing direction to a one box setup. It was recently serviced and capacitors replaced along with the front panel memory cell battery, these often leak destroying the front PCB, they are recommended to be replaced every 10 years. The power supply was also replaced to the more modern upgraded slimline Brilliant. SMPS I had this along with a LP12 and LK100 into Linn Kans and it’s still up there with the very best. Condition is very good although there are a couple of marks on the top that can hopefully seen in the pictures. I also have the original remote control ( which sell for around £90 on this platform) and the original owners manual.
