The original CD63 went head to head with the Philips CD 101 as the best player of their time, the CD63 uses the same transport as the CD 101, but the rest in this reiteration is streets ahead of both models, the chassis was made in japan and the then the assembly was done in the UK. This CD Player needs no introduction, the legendary Marantz CD63 MKII KI Edition Compact Disc Player in fully working and excellent condition with Serial number: MZ2029822061007. It shows the minimal amount of previous use with just the odd light scuffs and scratches as expected with any used item (see photos). Recently serviced prior to sale with the internal mechanism cleaned and re-greased, and the lens physically cleaned. An excellent sounding CD player thanks to its 1bit DAC. This is the KI (Ken Ishiwata) edition, Marantzs own in house technical guru, who made a number of upgrades over the standard MKII.
