Mission 752 Floor Standing Speakers (no grills) These speakers are in fair condition as reflected by starting bid. They are still functioning and sound good. On one of the speakers the driver has a tear in the cone, which causes some vibration at certain frequencies when played at higher volumes, but is not noticeable otherwise. On the other speaker one of the 4 terminal connectors is loose, but this does not affect functionality and should be an easy fix. Both speakers have marks/scratches as pictured and have some glue marks on the back from a previous owner. I have spoken to Mission and they do still sell the drivers for these units at around £60 each, so could make for a nice repair/restoration job for somebody. Mission 752 Freedom Tower Speakers - Oak. Made in England. These are pretty much in mint condition. The original grills are like new and all the tabs are in excellent shape. Im the only owner. They still sound great - especially human voices. Im downsizing and decided to sell them. I have the original spikes as well as the original shipping boxes. I will, however, pack each within an outer box to be careful with them. Im selling them as a pair and they will ship as two separate boxes. Shipping cost is for both speakers. Im using UPS.

Hi and welcome to my listing for this pair of really elegant Mission 752 Freedom Speakers. Condition wise both speakers are in very good physical shape, with only very minor marking to their cabinetry. Both speakers have matching serial nos 52F013120 and have been used sparingly as rear surround speakers in a high end cinema sound system. Being the Freedom model, these speakers benefit from the upgraded silk dome tweeters and red-worked crossovers. Funtionally, these speakers are in great working order, delivering a very detailed presentation. Unfortunately due to weight, this is a collection only sale, items are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Upgraded examples of one of Missions most highly regarded speakers. This model dates from the mid 90s, cost £500 new and was a critical success gaining a 5 star review from What Hifi?. These are the original version with the laminate plastic/metal dome tweeter above the top quality HDA (High definition Aerogel) mid/bass unit. The later freedom version had a more conventional silk dome tweeter. They are an efficient design and are often recommended for valve amplifiers. They have a fast, open but warm sound. I have upgraded the crossover capacitors using good quality OCVC Polypropylene film capacitors, and Murdorf E-Cap electrolytic capacitors. I have also upgraded the internal wiring. Some people believe treble to be harsh and exposed on the early 75 series, but I believe the upgrades fully address this issue and personally I prefer the bite and resolution of this earlier version. They now sound a league about a standard version with much better resolution, presence and balance. One mid/bass driver has a small patch where the surface coating has come off. It does not affect the sound in and detectable way. The integral plinths have a bit of wear and tear but they are in good overall cosmetic condition.
