Please check out all the pictures as these make up a large part of the description and show the condition well. Really is a great sounding pair of speakers and they are in full working order. These were made by Mission when they were in their prime and still making their speakers in England! Real Rosewood Veneer and they exude quality. Way too large and heavy for me to consider shipping, so they are for collection only, from near Norwich. Upgraded examples of one of Missions most highly regarded speakers. This model dates from the mid 90s, cost £500 new and was a critical success gaining a 5 star review from What Hifi?. These are the original version with the laminate plastic/metal dome tweeter above the top quality HDA (High definition Aerogel) mid/bass unit. The later freedom version had a more conventional silk dome tweeter. They are an efficient design and are often recommended for valve amplifiers. They have a fast, open but warm sound. I have upgraded the crossover capacitors using good quality OCVC Polypropylene film capacitors, and Murdorf E-Cap electrolytic capacitors. I have also upgraded the internal wiring. Some people believe treble to be harsh and exposed on the early 75 series, but I believe the upgrades fully address this issue and personally I prefer the bite and resolution of this earlier version. They now sound a league about a standard version with much better resolution, presence and balance. One mid/bass driver has a small patch where the surface coating has come off. It does not affect the sound in and detectable way. The integral plinths have a bit of wear and tear but they are in good overall cosmetic condition. You're looking at a pair of Mission 771 Bookshelf Speakers in Rosewood finish (at least I think it’s rosewood). In full working order. A few small scuffs on the enclosures but if you’re intending to use them on a bookshelf, they’ll never be seen. Bi-wire capable. They sound great. I can attest to their quality and clarity of delivery, with surprising bass for their size. I’ve been using them recently as the left and right as part of a 7.1 system and they were terrific. I’ve also used them stand alone in a stereo system playing vinyl and they’re equally impressive. Grab yourself some lovely speakers from a great manufacturer. Also there is only 3 links for the speaker terminals, but to use biwire speaker cable you dont need to use them, you can always use a bit of speaker cable cut down to make the forth one.

Lovely looking speakers. I think theyre Rosewood but not an expert on colours of wood. Very, very good condition. Two very minor marks on one speaker, one on top and other at bottom behind the grille. On floor spikes Bi-wireable Grilles are immaculate Still with original boxes (although they are little tatty after being in the loft for a long time) Very heavy so wouldnt recommend posting them although you are welcome to send your own courier to pick them up, otherwise collection from Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset.

Mission 780 MK. 2 ii Bookshelf Speakers Rosewood finish Bi-Wireable.. In great condition and in Rosewood finish, slight wear and tear mainly a few light cabinet scratches on their bases as shown where they have been used on stands and consistent with use. Both Mid / Bass units have been replaced by Mission under warranty. The Tweeters and Mid units are in fantastic Condition as are the original front speaker grilles. See photos.
