Reluctantly putting up for sale my treasured Monitor Audio Silver 100 6g in Walnut (although I think these are closer to Rosenut personally - see photos). Matching pair in immaculate condition, fully working. They come in their original box with manual and all accessories (including magnetic front grilles, port bungs, terminal links & allen key). Selling as they simply have too much bass for my current listening room (and Ive upgraded to some MA Silver 50 7g). Sonically the Silver 100 6g for sale here are very similar to the Silver 50 7g (clarity, soundstage etc), except with more bass / midrange from their 8-inch drivers. Owned since 2020, only driven to sensible volume levels as part of a 2-channel hi-fi driven by my Arcam A85 and A32 amps. These award-winning speakers provide a clear, articulate treble/midrange, with a great soundstage and plenty of bass (if you can handle it). Can be bi-amped / bi-wired (optional). I queried this with the retailer and they informed me that this is because natural wood varies in colour! I really liked the colour and price so I didnt return them. I suspect they mislabelled the sticker in the MA warehouse?!* The port bungs are showing some signs of age (they dont expand very much so dont grip the rear ports as much as they used to - not an issue if you want to feel your chest being pounded! If you arent so keen on bass, I would recommend buying a new pair from MA or using an alternative (e.g. I have used a pair of clean socks with great success!), or just using the tone controls (if your amp has them). Collection only from West Malling, Kent (ME19) due to their weight and fragility. Im happy for you to inspect / provide a listening demo if you wish.
