This creates the typical NAD sound which is beautifully clean and clear whilst at the same time having a warmth rarely associated with digital playback. If youre used to listening to Spotify, the fulness and power of this little CD player will be a revelation. Within the range, this CD player sits above the entry level C521 models and the sophistication of the sound is a step above these players. If you happen to have any HDCDs, then you’ll be in for a real treat with this player. This is a specialist format which shouldn’t be confused with SACD. This one is in excellent original condition considering its age. I have given a thorough clean inside and out before giving it a full service including cleaning and deoxiting all of the micro-switches, lubricating the mechanisms and replacing the laser and drive belt for the draw mechanism.
