Selling a very nice pair of Northern Electric monobloc EL34 cinema/Audio amplifiers. Model numbers on both amps are RA75A and serial numbers 129229 and 129253.... Very close match! Northern Electric was the Canadian branch of the Western Electric company and the two sites shared many design patents before they official split in the late 1960s. These amps have huge transformers and a very nice quality of audio tone! Cosmetically the amps show normal wear for the age. This includes paint wear, scratches, corrosion or other defects. The amps both come with the original face plates. These amps can be rack mounted or displayed on a table. Mechanically Both amps have been bench tested. They both sound wonderful and have no issues. They both received a new matched pair of JJ EL-34 power tubes. Due to the fact that these amplifiers are over 50 years old they are being sold as is with no returns or warranty of any kind. I will guarantee that they will arrive in working order but electronics of this age should have a service before being used on a regular basis. Tube is marked STC 3A/107A and base is marked Northern Electric 101M. Northern Electric was the Canadian division of Western Electric. Tube was tested on a TV-7C/U and gave a reading of 50. Minimum for this tube is specified as 28. Specifications from the data sheet are as follows: Oxide-coated filament 0.25A, 4V Amplification factor 7 Impedance 5,500 ohms Inter-electrode capacities: Grid to anode 4.7pF Grid to filament 6.2pF Anode to filament 2.1pF Maximum direct anode voltage 190V I will supply a copy of the data sheet.
