It has the now very sought after Philips TDA 1540 DAC chip and Philips heavy metal commercial grade swing arm laser head. It is a great foundation for audiophile grade upgrades and modifications if desired. Without any upgrades, it is now an audio piece remembered as the worlds first CD player. thus very collectable. not working for parts please refers to the photos the rest of the metal chassis is ok. I plugged the AC cord in to the wall and turned it on, the unit made some mechanical sound, the cd spin but heavy distortion and no music . Thus it is for repair and restoration. Sold for parts/restoration. No return please.
