Classic Vintage Pioneer CT-F7272 cassette deck in excellent working condition with brand new real walnut veneer and new belts (June 2023). Made in Japan between 1976 and 1977. Approximate dimensions: 18 X 7 X 14 . Weight: 21 lb. Its a massive deck, not like the smaller, lighter decks of the 1980s and 1990s. Its very well built. My audio technician, with over 55 years of experience, replaced the belts and cleaned the rubber wheels (please see photos) with rubber cleaner and rejuvenator. He replaced the burnt out CrO2 indicator light with an LED lamp (please see photo). He adjusted the output levels on the output boards inside (please see photo). My friend Sean, a master craftsman, replaced the peeling fake (plastic film) veneer with high quality real walnut veneer two weeks ago. He applied shellac on the veneer to seal it. The original cabinet appears to be real wood. I cleaned the inside of the deck with a soft brittle brush and a small air compressor. I cleaned all the switches and controls with contact cleaner. I cleaned the heads, capstans and tape path guides with Chemtronics professional tape head cleaner. I cleaned the pinch roller with rubber cleaner and rejuvenator. Everything works very well on this cassette deck: All the indicator lights, the VU meters and lamps, fast forward, rewind, playback, record, pause, Dolby, the tape counter, the microphone inputs, headphone output (loud and crystal clear), memory function, etcetera. It records and sounds great! Excellent recording and playback sound quality. I noticed the input for the right channel has to be adjusted slightly, depending on the recording and the tape. Please remember this is a 46 year old cassette deck. It will not work exactly like it did when it was new. The cabinet loos better than when it was new for sure. Please no returns, no change of mind, no buyers remorse or false claims. I just want to find it a good home. I have too many cassette decks. This CT-F7272 will be packed very well for safe delivery.
