This is a Sony RDR-VX450 vhs to dvd recorder or vice versa. I have used infrequently to copy friends vhs to dvds and I have added some pics of the front which shows it to be in good used condition. It is an analogue machine and so will not pickup digital channels and so basically a copying machine. The dvds that I used are -RW and it doesnt work with +RW or +R types. The copy process is really easy:1. put a dvd in and the machine will detect its type and then format it for recording.2. Put a tape in the machine3. Press tape to dvd one touch4. Copy starts5. At the end, the dvd index is updated and copy is finished. The remote is from a different Sony machine but it does control basic functions, allows setup and dubbing but it does NOT swap between dvd and video as that has to done from the front buttons. Finally, there is an hdmi , composite, progressive scan and scart plus audio in optical, coax or stereo mode. Any questions?
