Goldring Lenco GL 75 Turntable Boxed NO Lid Or Tonearm Cut For Rega Geometry. Serial no:002210. Quite an early one then? Original box and corner inserts, but the bottom polystyrene cutout for Platter is not. Noisy Idler Tyre, and slight pitting to Motor shaft. The Motor is quiet. Anyone looking at this will know, the limiting areas of this excellent Turntable are the Tonearm, as well as the Plinth. Therefore this is ideal for someone to put the iconic Rega RB250/300 Tonearm, plus a Birch Ply Plinth, followed by an aftermarket Idler Wheel, and possibly Main Bearing mods. Please note when ordering Idler wheel there are two sizes of shaft. Please ensure you measure the shaft first so you order the correct one. The Mat is slightly discoloured due to record cleaning solution. Also other mods including say a Funk Firm 5mm Acromat will not only improve sound, but will raise the level of the Platter nearer the level required to achieve correct VTA. You may find you also need a Headshell Spacer with deeper Cartridges… Please check photos for condition. The familiar Dust Bug mark on the top left, plus mark on Plinth etc. An ideal repaint also then? Speed is stable on 33.3 rpm, but was running slightly fast (approx 2%) at 45 rpm, confirmed with the excellent RPM Phone app, so maybe a slight adjustment required if you play a lot of singles. Please note: Item will be sent fully insured against damage or loss (hence postage cost). In the event of such thing happening the Courier may as for a ‘Denial of Receipt’ Form to be signed by you. Therefore I would just ask to to do this and send it back to me before a refund made, as the Courier will not refund until this document is signed. (This all comes from a recent experience!)
