Up for sale is a properly working and clean Audio Research Classic 60 tube power amp. It came to us in working shape and we played music on it for several hours without any problems. Tube Complement: (8) 6550 outputs 7) Philips/ECG and 1) Sovtek (4) 6CG7 drivers All Philips/ECG Only issues, both of which we consider small: >One of the two fans is slightly noisy. >On our fancy test equipment it puts out just over 40 watts per channel, not the 60 its supposed to. A friend loaned us some new Sovteks and it easily put out 60 watts/channel on our Sound Technology Test Panel. So to get it to spec it needs 8 new output tubes but it works just fine as it is.
