Please SEE FEEDBACK Firmware update for LG Freeview DVD Hard Drive Recorders models below ONLY (Will not work on other models so please check before you buy) RHT497, RHT498, RHT499, RHT599 Upgrade to last program, DISC firmware upgrade inc instructions Re: Software upgrades/updates to LG DVD recorder THIS SALE IS FOR AN UPDATE DISC ONLY NOT ANY OF THE PLAYERS Does your player try to update its self but ONLY GETS 1/3 OF THE WAY AND HOURS LATER THE SAME NOT GOOD AS ITS TRYING TO UPDATE FIRMWARE THEN STOPS QUESTIONS . My LG RHT497H DVD recorder/player tries to upgrade software, and about one third of the way through, it gets stuck and does not complete the software upgrade. It just shows the bar one third completed and says please wait..... (forever) How can I correct this? Currently, I just stop the update which means it is not getting the upgraded software. Hi thanks for question its update to the last firmware available as lg have stopped any future updates, hence i will supply instructions on how to stop machine from looking for updates once you have used the disc and updated your machine......... please read my feedback from customers, depending on how old your machine is but on average it fixes about 33 bugs / eg firmware issues inc non responsive remote not reading etc What i will say catch now while you can because if you keep switching it off because firmware is stuck eg 1/3 way update then switch it off to reset its damaging your machine every time and sooner or later it will go to stage boot up and nothing see people comments on the internet forums. Just think of it like pc its doing update what does it say DO NOT SWITCH OFF WHILE UPDATING many off you ask my machine is jammed so i turned it off. No good at all. hope this helps its all instructions are on disc it has been pre programed put it in player and it loads itself it tells you what your old firm was on screen it tells you instructions how to update on screen. Non returnable due to some people try to pull fast one use update their machine say it did not work! I know times are hard but as soon as seal is broken on the disc cover it will be classed as used, if you want to return with seal un-opened then thats different. ANSWER. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS INSERT DISC INTO PLAYER AND MACHINE WILL SHOW REST. plus ill supply instruction on how to disable automatic updates after software installed Insert disc and update TO LATEST SOFTWARE Shipped 1st class p&p on cd ready for use follow instructions supplied.
