This twin deck from top Japanese hifi brand Technics is actually made in Japan and is fully working, tested on all functions.It was part of a stack system and requires connection to a compatible Technics amp to derive the 12v power it needs, using a bespoke cable.This deck will come with the necessary power cable, and one stereo RCA audio connector cable.You may see some of these decks listed on ebay, usually they are an unknown quality because the power cable is missing and they may or may not be working.Cassette decks of this vintage often have broken, slack or perished drive belts.I have tested play, rew and ff on both decks and they sound fine I dont know when the belts were last replaced, if ever, so like any vintage gear, it may benefit from a service at some point in the future. the matching Technics SU-X911 amplifier which is visible in some of the images, and was used to test the cassette, is already sold and is NOT included in this listing. Midi series’s from Technics Hi-Fi Separates dates 1990, part of the X1 series in great cosmetic condition and in fully working order Each unit just has service, all potentiometers cleaned and lubricated, tape deck new belt fitted, mechanics lubricated, heads cleaned and demagnetised, playing and recording as new!
