Both sets of drivers are in good condition and working as they should. Capable of being bi-wired and mounted on spikes. Cosmetically good but there are a few light scuffs to the wood veneer ,which I’ve tried to highlight in the photos. Collection only due to size. Detachable floor spikes included together with optional use floor guards. Please note that there is minor damage to the wood grain on the top surface of one of the speakers although this is only visible upon close inspection. This auction is for one pair of Castle Severn 2 speakers, in cherry wood finish. Speakers are in perfect working order and make a great, warm, deep bassy sound. They are ideal for lovers of jazz, metal, EDM or rap. These speakers have given me many years of pleasure, but an upgrade forces this reluctant sale. They were voted What Hi*Fi’s Best Buy speakers under £1000 and they are well deserving of this accolade. The cabinets have some cosmetic damage, but being real wood veneer this would sand and stain quite easily. The speakers come wrapped and in their original boxes with all parts. Some assembly required to reinstall the base plinths and foot-spikes. From a clean, smoke free home. Sold with heavy heart as seen, no refunds. On 21-May-23 at 18:43:30 BST, seller added the following information: These speakers have been owned by myself since new. They have never been overdriven and, acoustically, they sound as good if not better than they day they were first opened.
