Cosmetically has various marks and would benefit from a jolly good clean. Having said that its in pretty good shape for its age. Please bare all of the above in mind before bidding. For sale is this great Sharp GF-9090E Ghetto Blaster/Boom BoxPLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE WHOLE LISTING BEFORE PURCHASE. SOLD AS FAULTY AND NO RETURNSFor its age I would class this ghetto blaster as being in a fair/OK/good condition with marks, scuffs, scratches, knocks, chips and signs of wear and use. I gave it a bit of a clean up but would certainly benefit from a through clean and freshen up. Ive included loads of pictures, from all angles, so please check out all the pictures as these make up a large part of the description and show the condition well. Stunning looking Ghetto blaster (was the kind of thing I used to spend hours looking at in shop windows and the Argos catalogue, back in the day) which does work but has a few issues which would need looking at before use (or just have it on display as is!!) The cassette door is broken. It stays in place but when eject is used, it flies off. I did manage to play a cassette, and it produce sound, but sounded bad and eat the tape up! The radio works fine, but the left speaker is quite a bit louder than the right. This can be adjusted with the balance lever, which sorts the issue, but certainly shouldnt be like this. Sharp GF9090E 1970S BoomboxTape player has been fully refurbished,including new belts,capstan pinch roller,rubber flywheel take -up idler tyre and new capacitors,plus an intergrated circuit sound chip.Tape heads have been demagnetized.Also a new motor which has speed adjustment control. I replaced the belts and capstan pinch roller myself, as well as replacing the rubber flywheel take - up idler tyre which had turned into a black goo.This is the main reason why these cassette players end up chewing up cassette tapes.What happens is over time the rubber flywheel take - up idler disintegrates and the cassette idler wheel cannot turn,hence tapes get ruined. Also the muting button also stays down and have to manually lift the button back up and no sound from the left speaker. Has paint speckles areas of the case, Also has marks and scratches so please do study the photos for overall cosmetic condition. No power lead included. Any questions please do ask.
