Sharp GF990 G Radio Cassette Player. This unit works but has some issues, im not sure exactly what it is but the tapes play for a few seconds and then they start to get chewed up. Needs someone with more knowledge and expertise than me to fix it and get it working properly. Other than that it is an excellent player. This will be collection only as its heavy. Another one of my awesomely rare and unique listings: Vintage boom box keyboard - The SHARP GF-990 music processor A Holy grail among boombox collectors. In the 80s there were less than a dozen boomboxes that incorporated music keyboards and this one by Sharp is considered the KING of them, and one of the most rare and highly sought after. Very cool design., this is a big beast that looks like the boombox every break dancer would have wanted. The keyboard section slides out from a concealed compartment with smooth action. you wont find another one of these for a long time. Ive had this in my personal collection as a unique display piece for many years. The cassette section dont work which is normal for these,but a new belt will solve it. It does actually play the songs/sound when you press play but only one dial moves. No fast forward or rewind works either. Radio and keyboard section work very well. Speaker sound is bright, loud, crisp and clear. Antenna is clean and straight. nothing on this is broken. Always very well cared for. Even the battery compartment looks like it has never been opened and very clean. The overall condition is excellent. Not 100% mint and does have some natural age from being 40 years old, but might only need some gentle cleaning. Compared to others Ive seen that are full of dirt, dints and scratches, this one is super clean. Even the underside is really nice. Plus it has always lived in a clean smoke free home. some discoloration in the plastic which you can see on the rear, but otherwise this is an immaculate looking machine. No dints in the speakers and all buttons and sliders work and feel like they should. Has power cable but no manual or other paperwork As with all old vintage electronics I cant offer any guarantees on function so must sell as-is.
