Vintage Sony AM/FM multi band receiver. Model No. ICF-5900W. Radio gets good FM reception. I was unable to pickup anything but static on the other bands and aerial slightly bent at top as can be seen in photos. Not sure if the SW Band signal dial or the Tuning and Batt meter work. No battery door was taken apart to make sure battery leak didnt do any harm to main board also to clean battery contact so I could test it with batterys . Pick up from Littlehampton West Sussex also this gives you the opportunity to fully test and make sure your happy so to recap it needs a battery door and it works and some time it had a battery leak would recommend getting it serviced as it is very old any questions please ask also one of the screws that hold the back on snapped off when I unscrewed it but this doesnt affect it going back together

Sony ICF-5900W FM/AM/SW Multi Band Radio Vintage - Read Listing. Unit has been tested and all main functions seem to work however there are some minor issues that should be noted:The unit will need a new antenna. The unit picked up radio stations but it was very quiet due to the antenna issue.The light function on the display does not work (when the yellow button is pressed, nothing happens). The battery cover on the bottom is missing. The radio has been in storage for years so there is dust in some the grooves and will need some overall cleaning but I tried to wipe it all down the best I could. Overall this unit needs a little TLC to get it back in tip top shape but it’s a decent piece as it sits. Great for any vintage radio collector or restorer. Thanks for looking
