This Sony TC-152SD is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Sony in 1973 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $300.The main features of the Sony TC-152SD are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection and capable of handling normal and chrome tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.Typical of this deck is the 70s top loading layout with the cassette compartment located on the left side of the deck. Designed to be portable this has many small marks from careful use over 5 decades but truly nothing bad and looks to never have been dropped just little scratches for the most part and as you can see in the photos its holding up very well, The carry strap too is in great shape and has a locking mechanism to secure and release it from the Deck. Built in speaker for playback and monitoring. Record a live event on chrome tape in stereo and then play it back on your system using the Sony that connects just like any other component. Impressive in 1978 still pretty nifty now.
