Pair SPENDOR England LS3/5A 11 ohm BBC MONITORS SPEAKERS consecutive serial #s XLNT! Offered for purchase is this nice pair of genuine made in England Spendor model LS3/5A BBC monitor loudspeakers with black cabinets. I believe these are the 11 ohm versions based on the serial numbers: 010124 and 010125. Dimensions of each are 7-1/2 wide x 6-3/8 deep x 12 tall, and each weighs just over 10 lbs. I have only tested these by listening to them...they sound great and all drivers are working. They do have minor edge and corner wear to the black finish on the wood cabinets. One is missing its front grill badge. The grills are securely attached but some of the velcro strips will have to be stapled back on (see photos.) A nice addition to any sound system or collection... The Spendor S5e speakers were purchased for a Theatre room as a Demo Unit. They were Never Used. The Center Channel was sold to a customer. These are the Left And Right Channels Speakers. They are Bi amp able. The Speakers will be sold as is. There are no guarantees or returns. The shipping will be from my zip-code to yours and will have insurance place on them. The S5e is an uncolored speaker that gets the notes and beats so essentially right, and is so emotionally direct and honest, that, for once, exceptional soundenhancedthe music-making rather than distracted from it, howsoever prettily. The Spendor S5e has what I consider a virtually perfect amount of bass in proportion with its clean, open, and pleasantly airy top end. I cant imagine an honest listener who would consider this speaker to be too bright, too dull, or lacking in any other such way. Over the years, Ive owned a few Classic Spendor loudspeakers that have been classicsI mean that both colloquially and in the literal, trade-name senseand Ive loved them for what they were. Yet the new S5e has things that simply werent part of the earlier Spendor recipe, including scale, drama, and utterly faultless pacing. That the S5e does all that for $1649/pair is remarkable. The cabinet is good to fair cosmetic condition.Has some noticeable signs of usage/moving. All drivers and components are original and fully functional.The wall bracket is included.

Original pair of Spendor BC1 speakers , These are made to the bbc design and have consecutive serial numbers , There are some marks/stains to the cabinets which is the only fault i can find with this fantastic sounding pair of speakers , This is a collection only sale , when you arrive , I can connect the speakers up to show them working , I have sent speakers with a courier before and they got damaged in transit , so have learnt my lesson on that one ,They measure approximately 25 inches tall 11 3/4 inches both deep and wide .The serial numbers are 20888 and 20889, I am also selling a pair of Spendor sp1 speakers on another listing.Any questions please ask

Single Spendor LS3/5A White Belly 15 Ohm 4 Digit Serial 1024 Tested Working. This is a very rare Spendor LS3/5A. Its the only one of these Ive seen with a 4 digit serial number that doesnt have 0s in front of it. Unfortunately I only have the single speaker and not the pair. The cabinet is pretty rough and could use refinished. The main speaker has some sort of what appears to be an air separation on the cone that comes out from the white belly. If I had to guess Id imagine heat caused the top layer of the cone to life up from the layer beneath it. The speaker sounds great and as far as audio quality it is working as it should.
