The item is in C) Used, Good cosmetic and working condition.For cosmetic condition, please refer to the Product Grading System - Below.Upon inspection of the device, I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition.The left front bottom corner of the wood framing is chipping. There is dirt and dust on the back antenna. I was able to power on the device with the attached power cord.I was able to test the back lights to be working. I was able to test the headphones port to be working.I was able to test all back A & B L/R speaker outputs to be working with an in-house wired speaker and phone (not included). I was able to test the front AUX to be working with an in-house phone and AUX cable (not included). I was able to adjust the volume with no issues. I was able to test the knobs to be working and adjust them as I changed modes. I was able to test the back AUX ports L/R to be working with an in-house phone and RCA cables (not included). I was able to test the back Tape 1 & 2 outputs to be working with an in-house phone and RCA cables (not included). I was able to tune to a local radio station to test the FM radio to be working. I was able to test the antenna screw terminals to be working. The back lights for the signal and FM tuning are tested working but the UV meter is nonfunctional. During testing the meters would not move. RARE SONY STR-4800 AM/FM STEREO RECEIVER VINTAGE AUDIO. I bought this receiver with two other pieces of high quality Sony audio equipment, also for sale on my page. I was unable to fully test this receiver but the previous owner of all three pieces of equipment stated that everything was in perfect working order when he put them in storage. No obvious signs or indications of any damage to this device. From the research I have done I could not find any other (str-4800) for sale they are all (str-4800sd). I could find a few previous results on Google that said out of stock, the cheapest of which being 350. So that is the price I decided on. This is also why I put rare in the title. Sony STR-4800SD AM/FM Stereo Receiver rated at 35 watts per channel at 8 ohms. Unit is in good working condition. Plays on both A&B speakers, R&L channels. Phono, AUX and both Tape inputs tested and working. New LEDs installed in radio dial and meters. All pots and switches treated with Deox-it. A couple items of note: AM and FM are both working well, but dial pointer is slightly off (ex - 99.9 station shows up at about 99.5 on dial). Dolby and Stereo lamps were not replaced and do not light. Also, the FM Muting switch is working, but the button pushed slightly in compared to the other push switches. Ein SONY STR-4800 Receiver wird verkauft. Der Receiver funktioniert, habe 1-2 Eingänge getestet. Radio funktioniert. Der Verstärker stand bis vor kurzem im Wohnzimmer eines Seniors und wurde dort nur noch selten verwendet, stand aber nie im Keller. Dem Alter entsprechend sehr gepflegter Zustand.
