I wonder if the red (right channel+) mark on the pin where the lead wire is inserted is missing. Because it is a high output MC cartridge, the phono equalizer can be played at the MM position. When we checked the operation, we confirmed that the sound came out without any problems. There is some signs of use on the exterior. Up for auction is a Pro-Ject debut carbon Evo in white with Rainer Sumiko cartridge. The unit was bought from another seller here on eBay but I was gifted a brand new one as a birthday present a few days later (probably should have waited a few more days…whoops!). HiFiChoice: Weighing in at 8.3g, the EVO III is the most affordable Sumiko offering to utilise an ultra-low resonance open generator design. My observations: Hard to put into words, but a rock album played on this cartridge seemed to have more life than others I have owned in the same price range. It is available as either low or high-output – the latter enabling it to be used without a step-up transformer, the former requiring the transformer or a phono stage with a moving-coil input. Sumiko Oyster BLUE Point Special EVO III. (0.5mV) Low Output MC Phono Cartridge. The cantilever came out when it was mishandled. The last 3 pics are what it looked like when I first received it. The pics with the detached cantilever reflect the condition it is in now. If someone out there knows how to put it back together, Bid away!
